City of Beaver Dam hosting photo contest

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — The city of Beaver Dam is hosting a photo contest as part of its sesquicentennial celebration. The grand prize winner will receive $500 and there will be prizes for three honorable mentions.

The mission of the contest is to celebrate the city of Beaver Dam and highlight the cultural and natural beauty of Beaver Dam. All photos must be taken within the corporate limits of Beaver Dam. The are no limits to what is in the photos. Photos may feature, nature, people, events, etc.

For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must secure a signed release from the subject, and in the case of a minor, the subject’s parent or guardian. The release must be provided to the city of Beaver Dam.

Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent, or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by the city of Beaver Dam in its sole discretion, are ineligible for all categories of the contest.

All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m., May 31. The city will not accept photos through the mail or any other electronic means other than email. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible.

All entries must be submitted online to contest@beaverdam150.com. The winner of the contest will be announced at a later date during Sounds on Second.
