Ohio County students among OCTC honor students, graduates for Spring 2023

OWENSBORO, Ky. — Owensboro Community & Technical College honored all the graduates from the spring 2023 semester with ceremonies held May 10-11.

This semester OCTC had 522 graduates, receiving 1,222 credentials at the conclusion of the spring term: credential highlights, 503 associate degrees, 648 certificates, and 71 diplomas. The Discover College-Early College program graduated 133 high school students who attended OCTC as full-time college students graduating with associate degrees.

OCTC Honors Graduates are denoted with a single asterisk as a *Graduate with Distinction, earning at least 45 credit hours for a degree or 30 credit hours for a diploma at a Kentucky Community & Technical College System college, earning a GPA of 3.4-3.59 on all work attempted; or a double asterisk as a **Graduate with High Distinction, earning at least 45 credit hours for a degree or 30 credit hours for a diploma at a KCTCS college, earning a GPA of 3.6 or higher on all work attempted.

Discover College – Early College

Discover College – Early College is a collaborative partnership with our regional secondary schools. Early College students attend classes on campus at OCTC full-time during their junior and senior years of high school. Students may graduate simultaneously with a high school diploma and an associate degree.
