MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Janice F. Martin Dossey, 70, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Janice was born on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 1952, in Warren County, Kentucky, to the union of the late Raydo and Erma Isabell Basham Martin and wife of the late James Cecil Dossey.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, owner of Childrens Fashions Dress Shop, and co-owner of D&D Sewing Factory. Janice cherished spending time with her family.
Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her twin sister, Joy Sheffield.
Janice F. Martin Dossey is survived by three daughters, Tiffany Keown, husband, Jon, of Morgantown, Jamie Elms, husband, Jamey, of Tipp City, Ohio, and Heather Browning, husband, Brian, of Brownsville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Brinley and Emery Keown, of Morgantown, Audrey and Rylan Elms, of Tipp City, Alexis Crump, husband, Michael, of Greenville, Kentucky, Tori Mudd, husband, Jordan, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, Chaney and Chandler Browning, of Brownsville, Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Everly Crump, of Greenville, Kentucky, and Indi Mudd, of Leitchfield; three sisters, Carolyn Phelps, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Charlotte Barrow, husband, Welby, of Provo, Kentucky, and Shirley McGehee husband, Ronnie, of Browder; one brother, Norman Martin, wife, Sue, of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, May 13, at 3 p.m. with Bro. Mathew Canty and Bro. Billy Bryant officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Haven Memory Garden. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 13, from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 3 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
