FORDSVILLE, Ky. — Joann Hyman, 84, of Fordsville, passed away April 20, 2023, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, on Dec. 15, 1938, daughter of the late Bearl and Delia Elledge Gambling.

Joann retired from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service as a Human Resource Administrator. She was very active and loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, and flower gardening. She enjoyed reading and working on jigsaw puzzles. Her family was very important to her and she looked forward to visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Hyman; grandsons, Joey Snyder and Jon Snyder; great-grandson, Joey Snyder Jr.; and her sister, Patsy Lott.

Joann is survived by two children, Karen Snyder and her husband, Rick, of Fordsville, and Tony Hyman, of Fordsville; grandsons, Jacob Snyder and Jeremy Hyman; six great-grandchildren, Alissa, Sean, Macie, Ava, Ashby, and Jacob Snyder; and a sister, Ramona Wagnon.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Monday, April 24, at 11 a.m. with burial in the Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Monday after 8:30 a.m. All times are central.
