HARDINSBURG, Ky. — Julia Marie Whitlock, 82, of Hardinsburg, passed away March 3, 2023, at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, on July 14, 1940, the daughter of the late Frank and Nettie Jeffries Whitlock.
Julia was a self-employed caregiver. She loved all things outdoors – camping, fishing, and soaking up the sun on her favorite Florida beaches. She always enjoyed visiting and entertaining her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Dwight London; his wife, Carolyn; and their son, Jasper.
Julia is survived by her son, Deston London and his wife, Anita, of Horse Branch, Kentucky; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dennis Whitlock (Louise), of Green County, Kentucky; and five sisters, Geneva Wilcoxson and Lucille Brown, of Green County; Frances Schultz (Andy), of Madisonville, Kentucky; Laverne Lyle, of Center, Kentucky, and Connie Whitlock, of Glasgow, Kentucky.
In keeping with the wishes of Julia, cremation has been chosen. A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
