MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Judy R. Coates, 70, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Judy was born on Friday, Nov. 14, 1952, in Bowling Green, to the late Charlie and Kathleen Embry Woosley and wife of the late Phillip Coates.
She attended Belmont General Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved cooking, collecting cookbooks, chihuahua puppies, and spending time with her family.
Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one brother, David Woosley.
Judy R. Coates is survived by one son Mark West fiancée Susan Brinkley, of Richardsville, Kentucky; two grandsons, Marcus West, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Demitri West, of Morgantown; one nephew, David Woosley Jr., of Morgantown; and one niece, Donna Woosley, of Florida.
All services are private and under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel. Burial will be held in the Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green.
