HARTFORD, Ky. — Rita Faye Coyle Fredell, 49, of Hartford, passed away Oct. 7, 2022, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Woodbury, Tennessee, on Dec. 13, 1972.

Rita was a member of Breaking Chains Recovery Group. She enjoyed reading and watching UK basketball and activities that her children were involved with, especially soccer and softball. Her dog, Mimi held a special place in her heart.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Shirley Simmons Wimberly; her sister, Laura Blair; and her brother, Jeff Wimberly.

Rita is survived by her husband, Sam Fredell Sr., of Hartford; daughter, Chelsea Rednour, of Hardinsburg, Kentucky; son, Tyler Coyle, of Cloverport, Kentucky; stepchildren, Samual Fredell Jr., of Lewisport, Kentucky, Samuel James Fredell, and Destiny “DD” Stewart, of Hartford, Jackie Fredell, Elizabeth Fredell, and Bridjet Fredell, of Owensboro, Kentucky; two brothers, Mike Wimberly, of Woodbury, Tennessee, and Mark (Karen) Wimberly, of Unionville, Tennessee; two sisters, Theresa (Brian) Quisenberry, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Lori Gaddis, of Fordsville, Kentucky; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Horsley Chapel Cemetery on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m..

Expressions of sympathy are requested to the Rita Fredell Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home to assist with expenses.
