BEAVER DAM, Ky. — James Matthew Stagner, 50, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Warren County, Kentucky, on Aug. 13, 1972, to the late James Gary Stagner and Sharon Cardwell Butrum who survives.
Matt operated a restaurant and concession stand in Beaver Dam and was the former owner of The Pizza Man in Morgantown. He loved football and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father and aunts, Clarice Brown and Ruby Hawkins.
Matt is survived by his mother, Sharon Butrum; stepdad, Charles Butrum; fiancée, Natalie Bratcher; aunts and uncles, David Cardwell and wife, Linda, Jeanette Johnson and husband, Sonny, Linda Glover and husband, James; several cousins, friends; and his sweet puppy, Sissy.
