HERRIN, Ill. — Linda Kay Milligan Bechtel, 74, of Herrin, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022. She was born on Sept. 9, 1947, in Hartford, Kentucky, the daughter of Estill and Marjorie Turner Milligan.
Kay was a member of Hartford Christian Church. She loved her grandchildren endlessly and was the best Nana to them.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to honor Kay’s memory are her husband of 48 years, Jim Bechtel; her brother, Dane (Donna) Milligan; her children, Carrie Lynn (Tom) Jones and Richard (Kim Sampson) Bechtel; nine grandchildren, Dominick, Alexia, Cooper, Carly, Cady, Pyper, Baylee, Autumn and Ally; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at Hartford Memorial Funeral Chapel in Hartford. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Sunday, Sept. 11, from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
