BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Jeanetta Brown, 71, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, with her family by her side. She was born Aug. 21, 1951, in Butler County, Kentucky, to the late Major G. Deweese and Maudie P. Lindsey Deweese.

Mrs. Brown retired from Walmart where she spent most of her career in the garden shop. She enjoyed her job and was an employee of the month several times. She also worked for Thomas Industries and was a member of Green River Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 47 years, Larry Brown, of Beaver Dam; two sons, Chris (Samantha) Brown, of Horse Branch, Kentucky, and Randy Brown, of Beaver Dam; daughter at heart, Tina McKay, of Hartford, Kentucky; two brothers, Shelby Deweese, of Beaver Dam, and Elbie (Glenda) Deweese, of Beaver Dam; twin sister, Yetta (Dennis) Meador, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two nephews, Major Deweese, of Beaver Dam, and Matt Deweese, of Beaver Dam; and several great-nieces and -nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Greg Hillard officiating. Burial will follow in Slaty Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mrs. Brown’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
