BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Wendell Ray Smith, 51, of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born April 1, 1971, in Greenville, Kentucky, to the late Lloyd Smith and Sarah Holcomb Smith.
Wendell enjoyed being at his shop and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Smith, of Beaver Dam; three children, Brennan Smith, Jimmy Smith, and Jensen Smith, all of Beaver Dam; one granddaughter, Addison Baize; one brother, Doug Smith, of Owensboro, Kentucky; one sister, Tammy (Todd) Sampson, of Sturgis, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Hartford Christian Church (122 West Walnut Street, Hartford, KY 42347). Friends may visit with Wendell’s family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam has been entrusted with arrangements.
