Beverly Jane (Bell) Hendricks

LEXINGTON, KY. — Sunday, July 24, 2022, in Lexington, Beverly Jane (Bell) Hendricks, born Feb. 17, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky, entered into the presence of her Lord.

She was a graduate of Seneca High School, in Louisville, Grand Rapids School of Bible & Music, in Michigan, and further study at Bryan College, in Dayton, Tennessee.

She was a teacher of elementary education for 20 years in private schools. She was known for her beautiful voice and piano skills in school and church.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and watching classic movies.

In her last years of retirement, she remained steadfast in her faith and enjoyed loving and spoiling her grandchildren and her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bernice Bell; her sister, Betty Lou Stewart and Phyllis Debor; and brothers, Frank Bell, Steven Bell, and Richard Bell.

She is survived by her husband of 50 ½ years, Michael E. Hendricks; her children, Dr. M. Todd (Sheila) Hendricks, of Decatur, Georgia; her daughter, Sarah J. Newton, of Lexington; son, Nathan G. Hendricks, of Lexington; two grandchildren, Charlie and Daniel Newton; her brothers, John Bell, Phillip Bell, and Jack Bell; her sister, Peggy Cardwell; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private service to celebrate Beverly’s life.
