Emma ‘Jean’ Frizzell

HARTFORD, Ky. — Emma “Jean” Frizzell, 87, of Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, at her residence. She was born on July 1, 1934, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Griff Decker and Grace House Decker.

She was a homemaker and member of New Assembly Church.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Allen Frizzell; infant granddaughter, Sharon Michelle Brown; two sisters, Ruby Simpson and Mary Decker; two brothers, Elmer Decker and Charles Decker; one infant sister; and son-in-law, Mike Brown.

Survivors include two sons, Scott (Carol) Frizzell, of Hartford, and David (Debbie) Frizzell, of Beaver Dam; one daughter, Patsy Brown; one brother, Delmer (Emma) Decker, of Florida; two sisters, Anna Sue, of Franklin, Kentucky, and
Martha (Jackie) Shields, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, Allen Cage Frizzell, Zach Frizzell, Garrett Frizzell, Dr. Jarrod (Charlotte) Frizzell, Rebecca (Heath) Phillips, Jason (Nina) Frizzell, Justin (Audrey) Frizzell, Jordan Frizzell, Michael (Korey) Brown, and Josh (Jennifer) Brown; and several great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a later date. William L. Danks Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
