BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Mary Frances Hall Shirley, 89, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, at Ohio County Healthcare. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky, on April 3, 1932, to the late John and Tilithia Hutchinson Hall.

She moved to Ypsilanti, Michigan, as a young girl then moved to Beaver Dam in 2015. Mary was a cancer survivor, homemaker, and a member of the Kingdom Hall.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 71 years, Charles Shirley; son, Keith Michael Shirley; three sisters, Mae, Jean, and Agnes; three brothers Arthur, Charles, and Jack Hall; granddaughter, Christine Stewart; and one great-granddaughter Willa Moore.

Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Boyd (Donald), of Cromwell; granddaughter, Angela Stovall (Adam), of Morgantown, Kentucky; grandsons, Anthony Alan Moore (Emily), of Franklin, Kentucky, and Ira Vojtkofsky (Joan), of Florida; four great-grandsons, Gavin Moore, Trenton Stovall, Treylan Stovall, and Weston Moore; four great-granddaughters, Mercedes Moore, Tori Mckenzie (Caleb), Keely Vojtkofsky, Maili Vojtkofsky; one great-great-grandson Liam Mckenzie; one great-great-granddaughter, due in March, Violet Mary Sue Mckenzie.

Mary will be cremated with services at a later date in Ypsilanti. She will be buried next to her husband at Arborcrest Cemetery in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
