HARTFORD, Ky. — Nellie Pose Sharp, 98, of Hartford, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, at her home. Nellie was born in Point Clear, Alabama, to the late Emanuel and Nellie Dana Pose.
She was a homemaker, a member of Masonville and No Creek Homemakers and Hartford Women’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. “Jiggs” Sharp Jr.; two daughters, Suzanne Nash and Rebecca Sharp; a son, Gary Sharp; and three grandchildren, David Sharp, Debra Nash Gleghorn, and Betsy Sharp.
Survivors include eight sons, Bubby (Rose) Sharp, Larry (Sandra) Sharp, Murray (Lisa) Sharp, Bobby (Janie) Sharp, Barry (Joy) Sharp, Brian (Sandy) Sharp, Chris Sharp, and Jeff Sharp; two daughters, Pam (Bill) Alexander and Jackie Westerfield; 33 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
Services are 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
