HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is conducting safety checks at Ohio County Schools after a nationwide TikTok challenge.

The TikTok challenge is named, “National hoot Up Your School Day,” and has not only Ohio County law enforcement on alert, but the entire country’s law enforcement. The challenge asks students to commit acts of violence at their school today.

TikTok said it has not found any evidence the threat is real, but law enforcement and school officials don’t want to take any chances.

The OCSO is conducting its safety checks at the Ohio County Middle School, Ohio County High School and Ohio County Vocational School.
