OCTC hosting alternative commencement ceremony Dec. 16

OWENSBORO, Ky. — Owensboro Community & Technical College is celebrating summer and fall 2021 graduates with an alternative walk-through ceremony on OCTC’s Main Campus at 4800 New Hartford Road Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021. The college is set to award 1,142 credentials to 389 graduates.

The walk-through event is scheduled for Blandford Lecture Hall where graduates have reserved times in advance. Students will attend with their families, receive a diploma cover, a photo with the president, and then a photo with their family. OCTC will share the digital pics with the students on social media.

“We are thrilled that so many students have signed up for these events. We are excited to be able to offer this alternative option to our graduates,” added Dr. Scott Williams, OCTC president.
