HARTFORD, Ky. — Mrs. Betty Jean Miller Ward, 89, of Toccoa, Georgia, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at her home. Born Oct. 27, 1932, in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Dewell Marlow and Loyce Wilson Miller.
She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Gwinnett Medical Center. Before her retirement, she also worked for various hospitals and doctor’s offices.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Dean “Jack” Ward.
Family members include her daughter, Karen Jean Ward, of Toccoa; son, Karroll Marlow Ward, of Toccoa; and a grandson, Dustin Marlow Ward, of Toccoa.
The family will receive friends at Whitlock Mortuary in Toccoa from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3.
The family will receive friends at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021.
Funeral Service will be held Dec. 8, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford.
Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.
