CROMWELL, Ky. — Mary E. Filback, 80, of Cromwell, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab. She was born Dec. 23, 1940, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Ules Evans and Edna Stewart Evans.
Mary retired from Thomas Industries and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Harry Filback; two brothers, Nelson Evans and Boonie Evans; and three sisters, Gladys Tichenor, Louise Filback, and Vera C. Griffin.
Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Harry “Buster” (Sue) Filback and Les Filback both, of Cromwell; six grandchildren, Jason (Lindsey) Filback, Tammy (Jordan) Cummings, Teresa (Matt) Shelton, Kelci (Troy) Duncan, Leslieann Filback, and Brooklyn Filback; several great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Flo Geary, of Horse Branch, Kentucky, and Nancy Brown, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Bro. Ricky Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cromwell. Friends may visit with Mary’s family from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
