MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Delania Dawn Payton Herrera, 23, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, in Henderson, Kentucky. She was born in Hartford, Kentucky, on May 16, 1998.
Delania worked in manufacturing, loved arts and crafts. She loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her children.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Joy Payton, Pauline Holland, and Roy Williams, and her nieces, Kynlee Varble and Amelia Payton.
Delania is survived by her children, Jiael Herrera, and Mila Martinez; parents, John Payton (Sarah), of Morgantown; Elisha Williams, of Florida; grandmother, Barbara Cauley, of Florida; siblings, Lacy Varble (David), of Morgantown; Brittany Payton, of Owensboro; John Payton (Angel), of Morgantown; Katelyn Stewart, of McHenry, Kentucky; Elizabeth Stewart, of Morgantown; Brooklyn Wallace (Nick), of Hartford; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 12 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Swift officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 3, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
