BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Dewey Arnold Brown, 86, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on April 6, 1935, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Fred and Susie Russell Brown.
Dewey was a member of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, and he retired from Johnson, Depp & Quisenberry where he worked as a civil engineer.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Vivian Phelps Brown.
He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his children, Sherri Brown, of Beaver Dam, and Arnold Ray (Tammy) Brown, of Roswell, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Jacob Ellis and Sheena Embry; and two great-grandchildren, Briceson Ellis and Blake Embry.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Jeremy Ruegg officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Rockport, Kentucky, with full military honors by Ohio County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with Dewey’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Tuesday, at the funeral home.
