Local Boy Scouts to host blood drive Nov. 6

HARTFORD, Ky. — The local Boy Scouts of America will be holding a blood drive from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at the Ohio County Park. The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center’s Bloodmobile will be at the Ohio County Park. Each donor will receive a t-shirt. The Ohio County Park is at 2300 KY 69 N in Hartford.

All donors must be at least 17 years old or 16 years old with the consent of a parent or guardian and weigh at least 115 lbs. Donors must check medications with center staff. Donors should have eaten a good meal prior to donation and must allow 56 days between donations.

Donors must be 14 days symptom-free if recovered from COVID-19. Donors may not donate if they have a positive diagnosis test or experienced symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Donors may not donate if they have been told to self-quarantine.

Donors must present a valid photo ID upon registration.
