BEAVER DAM, Ky. —‚ Sheila Faye Raley, 63, of Beaver Dam, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on Dec. 10, 1957, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to the late William “Sonny” and Norma Jean Lamar Potter.
Sheila was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and she had previously worked in the Family Resource Center at Beaver Dam Elementary School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, birdwatching, cooking, and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Sonny” Potter and Norma Jean Lamar Potter.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories, her husband of 45 years, Gary Raley, of Beaver Dam; her daughter, Krista (Corey) Leisure, of Beaver Dam; and two grandchildren, Karina and Caiden Leisure, of Beaver Dam.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Conard Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with Sheila’s family from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
