CROMWELL, Ky. — Bettye Joyce Richardson Arnold, 86, passed away on July 23, 2021. Bettye was born Aug. 2, 1934, to Wayne Richardson and Murl Chinn Richardson of Cromwell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Elmer Darrel Arnold; daughter, Ramona Elaine Arnold; grandson, Joseph Glen Baize; and granddaughter, Brandon Baize Sampson. Late sisters, Eula “Sug” Iler, Bonnie Abner, and Martine “Marty” Crooks are now reunited with Bettye in their Heavenly home.

Bettye graduated from Cromwell High School in 1952 and was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, spending time with others, and quilting. She was a proud member of the ‘Stitch and Bitch Club” with close family and friends.

Surviving children include, Glen Arnold and Perry Arnold, of Cromwell, Charlene (Mitch) Creager, of Lexington, Kentucky, Jackie (Larry) Wisdom and Kelly (Kristy) Arnold, of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Surviving grandchildren include, Becky (Brandon) Moore, Katie (Aaron) Ballard, Alex Creager, Pat (Rachel) Creager, Logan Campbell, Lauren Bradbury, Ben Arnold, Mandy Latham, and Jasmyn (Jason) Anderson. Bettye was additionally blessed with many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at William L. Danks Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, KY with Pastor John Cashion officiating. Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery, Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Visitation will be Monday, July 26, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Bettye was a life-long supporter of the Cromwell Fire Department; therefore, her family requests expressions of sympathy take the form on contributions to the Cromwell Fire Department, ℅ Bill Burgess, P.O.
