Scottie ‘Fatsy’ Lane Embry

MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Scottie “Fatsy” Lane Embry, 47, of Morgantown, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born in Bowling Green on Dec. 22, 1973.

He was a drywall hanger and of the Baptist faith. Fatsy loved to coyote hunt, fish and ride horses. He liked to start trouble, as in bark, but couldn’t take the bite. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Debra Kay Lee and Ronald Lane Embry, and nephew, Austin Lane Dockery.

Scottie is survived by his wife Dawn Embry, of Zanesville, Ohio; daughter, Chelsey Lane Embry, of Ohio; three stepchildren, Arielle, Colt, and Haley Rose, of Ohio; sisters, Debbie Embry Geary (Jeff), of Morgantown, Kentucky, and Nina Hensley (Johnathan), of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; and brother, Lannie Embry, of McHenry, Kentucky.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 30, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.
