CENTRAL CITY, Ky. — Sophia Louise Carroll, 76, of Central City, died Sunday, April 18, 2021, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Mrs. Carroll was born Nov. 14, 1944, in Ohio County, Kentucky.
She was a CNA at St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond, Indiana, for 15 years, and was a member of Mercer Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Carroll.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Carroll Masick, of Michigan City, Indiana; son, Curtis L. Carroll, of Westminster, Colorado; grandchildren, Amber Carroll Wilkerson, Sarah Masick, Joshua Masick, and Rebekah Masick; great-granddaughter, Emily Wilkerson; brother, Larry Reed, of Central City, Kentucky; and sister, Martha Long, of Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 20, at 11 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial in Lone Star Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday after 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
Family and friends are asked to wear a face covering, in accordance with the governor’s mandate. In compliance with health and public safety directives, capacity will be limited based upon current state guidelines.
