KSP investigating bank robbery in Webster County

PROVIDENCE, Ky. — Kentucky State Police Post 2 is currently investigating a bank robbery in Webster County and is asking the public for help in identifying the bank robber.

At 2:30 p.m. Monday, KSP Post 2 was contacted by the Providence Police Department asking the KSP to investigate an armed robbery that had just occurred at Planter’s Back in Providence, Kentucky.

The preliminary investigation reveals that a white male, around 6 feet 3 inches, entered the bank wearing a hoodie and mask. The man demanded money while stating he had a gun. The man then exited the bank with an undetermined amount of money and left the property on foot.  The suspect was last seen near Westerfield Drive in Providence.
