MADISONVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of asphalt pavement rehabilitation on the Wendell H. Ford Western Kentucky Parkway in Ohio County. The work will begin April 12 and is scheduled for completion this fall.

Speed limit restrictions are in place while work is being addressed. Speed limits are reduced from 70 to 55 through these construction zones. Lane width restrictions are also in effect with no loads over 10′ permitted.

The sections of highway to receive improvements are between mile points 65.68 – 87.56. Motorists should anticipate reduced speeds and/or lane closures throughout the progression of this improvement.

Motorists can still access Exit 75/U.S. 231 during paving operations.

The bid was awarded to Scotty’s Contracting & Stone, LLC in the amount of $16,732,532.06.
