
Ricky was an ordained minister since 1970 and was a member of Leach Chapel General Baptist Church. He was a retired carpenter and loved to hunt and watch Westerns.
Other than his father, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dessie Goodman.
Rev. Ricky C. Dockery is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jewelyn Dockery, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; one daughter, Felicia Summers (David), of Beaver Dam; two sons, Richie Dockery (Georgina), of Beaver Dam, and Matthew Dockery (Kimberly), of Hartford, Kentucky; mother, Airrie Dockery, of Morgantown, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Brandon Summers (Renee), of Morgantown, Deserae Thompson (John), of Beaver Dam, Dakota Dockery (Destiny), of Beaver Dam, Ally Dockery, of Beaver Dam, Skylar and Sabastian Dockery, of Hartford; seven great-grandchildren, Hayden and Brody Summers, of Morgantown, Colebin Dockery, Kaylee Summers, Caylem Dockery, Maddox Summers, and Jude Dockery, all of Beaver Dam, KY; two step-great-grandchildren, Hannah and Caleb Caskey, of Owensboro, Kentucky; three siblings, Jimmy Dockery (Ginger), Debbie Payton (Ray), and Sylvia Moran (Morris), all of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Zion Harmony Baptist Church Tuesday, March 16, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Sonny Whitley officiating. Burial will be held in the Zion Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 15, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Tuesday 10 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. at the Zion Harmony Baptist Church.
