BEAVER DAM, Ky. — As Christmas draws near, and all the boys and girls fill out their wish list, there are those less fortunate than most of us who don’t have anything to put on their list. Today, you have a chance to change that and make some wishes come true.
Oldham Park is the setting for the Shoots and Ladders Stuff the Truck competition between the Beaver Dam Fire Department and the Beaver Dam Police Department. The object is to fill a fire truck and/or a police cruiser with toys or donations for Ohio County Toys for Tots. The toys will be given to children of low-income families and cash donations will be used to buy toys.
If you have a new toy you’d like to donate or wish to make a cash donation, come down to Oldham Park before 2 p.m. today.
If you’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth, there will be Christmas candy, fudge, cookies, etc. for sale with proceeds going to Ohio County Toys for Tots.
