GREEN COUNTY, Ky. — Mrs. Josie Alice Adkins was born Feb. 26, 1945, in Green County, Kentucky, to the late Raymond Adkins and Lucille Elmore Adkins. She departed this life Monday, July 20, 2020, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 75 years, four months, and 24 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Meade County, Kentucky.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, James, Jerry, and William Adkins.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Lenward Jefferson Jr. of Macon, North Carolina; three sons and daughters-in-law, Chester and Simone Davisson, of Brandenburg, Kentucky, Jerry and Becky Davisson, of Wetumpka, Alabama, and Charlie and Alice Davisson, of Campbellsville, Kentucky; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Kindra Adkins and Ricky and Linda Adkins, of Greensburg, Kentucky; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lydia and Jr. Simpson, of Edmonton, Kentucky, and Margaret Dawson, of Greensburg; two grandchildren, Arabella and Finley Davisson; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Place and Time of Funeral Service: Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home 2 p.m., Central Time, Saturday, July 25, 2020
Visitation: after 10 a.m., Central Time, Saturday, July 25, 2020 until the funeral hour at 2 p.m., Central Time,
Officiating: Bro. Robert Adkins
Interment In: Adkins-Elmore Family Cemetery, Green County, Kentucky
Pallbearers: Chester Davisson, Jerry Davisson, Lenward Jefferson, Jr, Robert Adkins, Ricky Adkins, Clifton Sullivan

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to Hosparus or The Multiple Schlerosis Association of America. These can be made at the funeral home.
