HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — David Lee Murphy, 67, of Horse Branch, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born March 19, 1953, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Ethel Murphy and Cordelia Renfrow Murphy.
David was a farmer and enjoyed riding horses with his family.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Murphy, and sister, Costella Heflin.
He leaves behind to treasure many memories, a daughter, Asha Hayes (Chris Duncan); two grandchildren, Mason and Madelyn Duncan; five brothers, Dale (Patty) Murphy, Jeff Murphy, Stevie (Ashley) Murphy, Chris (Sheila) Murphy, Richard Murphy; four sisters, Betty Jo Ferguson, Flora Mae (Donald) Bratcher, Donna Gail Daugherty, and Angie Raley; and several nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky has been entrusted with arrangements.
