MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Wilma Jane Beasley, 83, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Wilma was born June 5, 1936, in Hartford, Kentucky, to the union of Herman and Bonnie Bratcher Burden.

She was a member of Oak Ridge General Baptist Church and Oak Ridge Women’s Missionary Society. Wilma loved to read, quilt, visit the sick and elderly. She was a caregiver for many years and retired from Kane’s Industries.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by four sisters Laurel Swift, Ina Rae Taylor, Adeline Leighton and Elaine Geary and one brother J.L. Burden.

Wilma Jane Beasley is survived by two sons, Malcom Henderson (Karen) and Melton Henderson (Belinda); three grandchildren, Jamey Henderson (Amy), Amanda Alford (Jessie), and Justin Henderson (Janet); four great-grandchildren, Jasmine Harris (Trenton), Kinley Mitchell, Jersy Alford, and Aubrey Mitchell; one great-great-grandson on the way; one sister, Genita Burden; one brother, Frank Burden (Veneda), all of Morgantown; sister-in-law, Ruby Burden, of Louisville, Kentucky; a special guy she was always proud to be with, Charles Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, May 29, at 5 p.m. with Bro. Jewell Martin officiating. Burial will be held in the Zion Harmony Cemetery where Justin Henderson, Jamey Henderson, Jessie Alford, Trenton Harris, Joshus Tucker and Rick Brown will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday May 29, from 2 p.m. until funeral time at 5 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
