OCH waiting for results on 66 COVID-19 tests

HARTFORD, Ky. —  Ohio County Healthcare returned Monday with a COVID-19 update on its Facebook page.

While no new positives were reported for today, OCH did have additional patients over the weekend.

To date, OCH has tested 566 total patients and received 106 positives from the seven-county Green River District,which includes Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, Ohio, McLean, Union and Webster counties. There are currently 66 test results pending.

Elective surgical procedures will resume starting this Wednesday, May 6, 2020. OCH has continued to enhance several infection control measures:

  • All patients will be pre-operatively tested for COVID-19
  • Temperature and health checks will be administered on all entering OCH facilities
  • Masks will be worn by all employees and patients.
  • Out-patient service patients, such as Endoscopy, Infusion and OP Surgery, will enter through the Gillispie Ave. entrance across from the Hospice House to avoid high-traffic entrances.
  • No visitors allowed. Patient escorts can leave their cell phone number with Outpatient Service Registration to receive surgery updates and patient pick-up information.
