OCH anticipates more confirmed COVID-19 cases coming

In Local, News by OC Monitor Staff

HARTFORD, Ky. — Ohio County Healthcare has been busy lately as 138 patients have been tested for COVID-19. At this time, OCH has 20 results pending. With such a huge increase in testing over the weekend, OCH anticipates there will be additional positive results announced over the next few days. Several of the labs are closed Sundays, which can result in lag time for Monday results.

To further increase access to COVID-19 resources, the Fordsville Area Medical Clinic will open a 5-day a week screening center beginning Tuesday. Drive-up screening will be offered with on-site testing for those meeting the criteria. Call the FAMC hotline at 270-775-2311 if you have questions, or visit OCHcares.com for additional resources.

Stay the course of practicing #HealthyatHome habits of only going out for essentials, keeping 6 feet away from people, except those who live in your household, washing hands and wearing a cloth face mask in public.

These actions are the most effective way to reach the benchmark of decreasing the number of cases instead of additional positives.
