LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for Ohio County beginning at 11 p.m. tonight, April 15, 2020, through 8 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2020.

According to the NWS, lows Thursday morning are expected to drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s. Widespread frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions may kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

Gusty winds ahead of an incoming cold front may occasionally gust over 30 mph through mid-afternoon. The winds will be coming in from the west, so high-profile vehicles may feel the effects of these winds on north-south roads such as Interstates 65 and 75.

These gusty winds has caused the NWS to issue a Special Weather Statement for Ohio County and the surrounding area.
