ROCHESTER, Ky. — Julie Hall Peay, 88, of Rochester, but was residing with her daughter in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, passed away April, 2, 2020, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky. Julie was born July 18, 1931, in Butler County, Kentucky, to the union of Earl and Mamie Hammers Hall and wife of the late Chester “Chigger” Peay.

She was a member of Pond Run Baptist Church and worked at Emerson Electric in Russellville, Kentucky, and retired from Kellwood in Morgantown, Kentucky.

Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her stepmother who raised her, Cynthia Arnold Hall; one grandson, Jonathan Peay; two brothers, Dale Hall and Joel Hall; and one sister, Madonna Tharp.

Julie Hall Peay is survived by one daughter, Janice Marquita Crowe, husband, Alton “Doc,” of Beaver Dam; son, David Hall Peay, wife, Ladena, of Central City, Kentucky; grandchildren, Rhonda Spaulding, husband, Greg, of Elberfeld, Indiana, Randy Crowe, wife, Cindy, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Stacey Fox, husband, Travis, of Central City, and Kevin Peay, wife, Whitney, of Central City; great-grandchildren, Emma and Lily Spaulding, Ty, Trace and Taylor Crowe, Luke, and Olivia Fox, and Bryant Peay; brothers, Earl Vernon Hall, of Muncie, Indiana, Barry Hall, of Peru, Indiana; sisters, Jerlene Winfrey, of Muncie, Indiana, and Lolita Willard, of Port Matilda, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.

In compliance with health and public safety directives, the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Peay will be private for immediate family only with private burial at Rochester Cemetery, with Bro. Alton “Doc” Crowe and Bro. Travis Fox officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
