BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Shirley E. Ashby, 58, of Beaver Dam, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, at Ohio County Healthcare on Hartford, Kentucky. She was born July 6, 1961, in Somerset, Kentucky, the daughter of Chester and Kay Winchester Watson.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Misty Dawn Ashby; her aunt, Faye Terry; mother-in-law, Zonie Riggs; and brother-in-law, Mac McEuen.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Darrell E. Ashby; two sons, Chester Ashby (Ashley) and Brad Ashby (Brianna); two sisters, Sandra McEuen and Melodie Culbertson; six grandchildren, Trenton, Zachary, Kena, Mallorie, Hadlee, and Taelynn; and a special cousin, Lynn Strunk (Gerald).
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, at Caneyville Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Zion Harmony Cemetery in Morgantown, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
