ECHOLS, Ky. — Kenneth Leon Saling, 79, of Echols, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, at his home. He was born July 18, 1940, in Echols, to the late Dennie Lee Saling and Lue Anna Key Saling.

Mr. Saling was a retired coal miner.

Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Maggie Key, and Lawson and Mullie Saling, and two siblings, Dorene Saling and Lake Saling.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Carol Sue Saling, of Echols; three children, Tony (Joyce) Saling, of Echols, Kenneth Saling, of Princeton, Kentucky, and Paula Rakes of Echols; seven grandchildren, Dennie Saling, Jacob Saling, Kristy Jensen, Amber Saling, Elizabeth Demonbreum, Wesley Rakes and Jeff Saling; 10 great-grandchildren, Logan Saling, Mahkayla Saling, Brennen Saling, Chaz Jensen, Neveah Jensen, Isabella Demonbreum, Jaxon Parker, Ozzy Parker, Dillon Saling and Caden Saling; and six siblings, Carol (Edythe) Saling, Phyllis (Jackie) Tichenor, Linda (Wayne) Jones, Diane (Jerry) Thomas, Shirley (Don) Tatum, and Carolyn Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Lealin Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery in Echols, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Mr. Salings family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
