BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Laverne Book Jones, 83, of Beaver Dam, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born Oct. 3, 1936, in Piggott, Arkansas, to the late Floyd and Ernestine Book.
Laverne was a Christian woman and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cromwell. She spent her time caring for her family who was very important to her and farming side by side with her husband, Charles.
Survivors include her children, Sheryl (Moe) Maldonado, Ernie (Pat) Jones, Bobby (Kathy) Jones, and Dennis Jones, eight grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
