MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Jackie L. Burnette, 70, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019, at her residence in Morgantown under the care of her family and Hospice of Southern Kentucky. She was born Jan. 28, 1949, in Butler County, Kentucky, to the late Vernon Ray and Golda Embry Calloway.
Jackie attended Olaten Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Perdue in Cromwell, Kentucky. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.
Jackie L. Burnette is survived by her two children, Jenice Brown, of Central City, Kentucky, and Christopher Burnette, of Ohio County, Kentucky; one brother, Kirby Calloway and wife, Jenny, of Morgantown; one sister, Jewel Barron, of Morgantown; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at The Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, Sept. 20, at 4 p.m. with Bro. Jimmy Dockery officiating. private burial will be held in Fordsville Ky. Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, from 12 p.m. until funeral time at 4 p.m. at The Jones Funeral Chapel.
