HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is receiving complaints about a scam that seems to be making its way through Ohio County once again.
If you receive a call from someone claiming to be with a law enforcement agency, especially from another state, and the caller claims you have a warrant for your arrest, it’s most likely a scam.
Never give your personal information to anyone on the phone. Your personal information includes your date of birth, Social Security Number and banking information.
Be sure to share this information with your friends, neighbors, and family. Especially share this information with the elderly.
