PHILPOT, Ky. — Judy L. Bittel, 72, of Philpot, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital surrounded by family. Judy was born Dec. 18, 1946, in Ohio County, Kentucky. She was brought up and raised by the late Oscar Morris and Lottie “Mammy Jack” Morris. Judy was a loving housewife.
She enjoyed reading, drinking her morning coffee, playing cards, collecting shoes, and visiting the Smoky Mountains, but most of all she loved spending time with the family and friends and especially her grandchildren.
She was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
She also was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters; her son-in-law, Larry Edge; and a special niece, Sandy Morris.
She is survived by her lifelong partner in marriage, her loving husband, Randall Bittel; her children, Louis Ray, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Anji Edge and Becky (Bubby) Morris, both of Philpot; eight grandchildren, Jordan Bittel (Samantha) Sarah Murphy, Kendra McManaway (Nick), Jacob Edge, Megan Morris, Jonah Edge, Amanda Morris and Levi Edge; two great-grandchildren, Ava Murphy and Beckett Bittel; several brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 6 pm Monday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
