LIVERMORE, Ky. — Chad Atherton, 44, of Livermore, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at University of Louisville Medical Center.

Phillip Chad Atherton was born Jan. 22, 1975, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to Phillip Roy and Patricia Carol Bowman Atherton, was married to the former Debra Suzanne Igleheart May 3, 1997, and was known as “Uncle Buck” to his nieces and nephews.

He was the former owner of Advance Feeding Systems in Livermore, was currently a sales representative with Diversified Agriculture and was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was active in the Faith Riders. Chad was a Gideon, was active in Emmaus, and was a member of the Ohio Valley Tractor Pullers Association. He enjoyed tractor pulling, working on his tractors, and farming.

Chad was preceded in death by his father, Phil Atherton, who died May 21, 2019.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Debra Atherton; two daughters, Shelby Atherton and Sydney Atherton, both at home; his mother, Trish Blades (Tom), of Island, Kentucky; his stepmother, Elaine Atherton, of Buck Creek, Kentucky; two sisters, Shannon Render (Bear), of Calhoun, Kentucky, and Chelsea Atherton, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; a brother, Sean Blades (Amy), of Island; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Buck Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Webb officiating. Burial will be in the Buck Creek Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Chad’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel and from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday at Buck Creek Baptist Church.

The Chad Atherton family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Buck Creek Baptist Church, Building Fund; 3788 U.S. Highway 431 North; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Livermore and at Buck Creek Baptist Church.
