OWENSBORO, Ky. — Kathleen Embry Warren, 92, formerly of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Wellington Parc Nursing Home in Owensboro. She was born in Grancer in Butler County, Kentucky, Sept. 26, 1926, to the late Purtle Embry and Lena Jones Embry.

Kathleen was a Christian of the Churches of Christ faith and a homemaker. She loved genealogy, camping, cooking, sewing and playing Scrabble.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen; three brothers, Jim, Bert, and Lionell Embry; and one sister, Jewel Gardner.

Kathleen is survived by three children, Stephen Warren (Phyllis), of Henderson, Kentucky, Sharon Gipson (Richard), of Franklin, Kentucky, and Stuart Warren (Becky), of Bowling Green, Kentucky; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Bryant (Raymond), of Olney, Illinois, and Jean Wilmington (Fred), of Littleton, Colorado; one brother, Bill Embry (Helen), of Glenview, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Grizzell officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 18, from 9 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
