HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Steven “Mark” Swift, 59, of Horse Branch, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in Horse Branch. He was born Dec. 30, 1959, in Hartford, Kentucky.
Mark attended Grace Pointe Community Church and various other churches in the community. Mark retired from P&L Railroad and was an active member of Friedaland Masonic Lodge #863 F&AM. He was a United States Navy veteran.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Conward Swift and Rose (Charles) Maiden; brother, Roger Swift; sister, Sheila Baize; brother-in-law, Kevin Bratcher; and sister-in-law, Frances Bratcher.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 36 years, Angelita Swift, of Horse Branch; son, Mark “Bo” Swift, of Horse Branch; daughter, Tiffany Swift, of Horse Branch; brothers, Carl (Sandra) Swift, of Trenton, Illinois, and Charles Maiden Jr., of Horse Branch; sister, Candy (Terry) Wilson, of Horse Branch; father- and mother-in-law, Duel “Hoyt” and Eleanor Bratcher, of Horse Branch; brothers-in-law, Mickey Baize, of McHenry, Kentucky, and Dwayne (Pam) Bratcher, of Hartford; sister-in-law, Renetta (Paul) Romero, of Horse Branch; and several nephews, nieces, great-nephews and -nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Jay Raymond officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Horse Branch. Friends may visit with Mark’s family from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
