CENTRAL CITY, Ky. — Anthony Edward Simms, 42, of Central City, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019, at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville, Kentucky. He was born Nov. 26, 1976, the son of Anthony Leon Simms and Chree Lynn Witchelhouse Simms.

He was a member of New Life Church in Powderly, Kentucky. He had worked for Associated Pallet and for Diacel as a factory worker.

He was an Army Reserve veteran.

He is survived by his parents, Anthony (Tony) Leon Simms and Chree Lynn Simms, of Central City; three sons, Anthony Tyler Blake Simms, of Central City, Trever Alexander, of Greenville, Kentucky, and Brayden Craig, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; two daughters, Tayler Slone Simms, of Beaver Dam, and Reagan Cobb, of Beaver Dam; and one sister, Jennifer Lashea Scott, of Central City.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, Kentucky, conducted by Rev. Wayne Rice with burial to follow in New Life Cemetery in Powderly.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Anthony Simms Burial Expenses at Gary’s Funeral Home, P.O. 406, Greenville, KY 42345.
