KUTTAWA, Ky. — Ray Cooper Jr., 77, of Kuttawa, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born June 16, 1941, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to the late Ray Cooper Sr. and Elfie Bratcher Cooper.
Mr. Cooper was a retired coal miner.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly McKinney Cooper, and three siblings, Carmen Wilkerson, Loretta Alvarez, and Lindon Cooper.
Survivors include Charles (Leah) Cooper, of Henderson, Kentucky, Victoria (Joel) Saldana, of Maryville, Tennessee, and Anthony Cooper, of Kuttawa; five grandchildren, Zachary Cooper, David Perez, Cain Cooper, Norma Aguilar, and Betsy Saldana; six great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Tonita Embry and Rita Brooks.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at William L. Danks Funeral Home. Friends may visit with Mr. Cooper’s family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
