Two new House Bills on state retirement introduced

FRANKFORT, Ky. — After Governor Matt Bevin called a special session to deal with the state’s pension crisis, two new House Bills on retirement were introduced last night.

The state legislature met last night in Frankfort, with the Kentucky House of Representatives giving a first reading to two new House Bills on the state’s retirement system before sending the bills to the Kentucky Senate. After receiving the two bills, the Senate adjourned until 9 a.m. this morning for an informational session to discuss and review the two House Bills.

The House will meet at 1 p.m. today.
