MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Martha Margaret Davis Barrow, 93, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at her residence. Martha was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, to the late James and Sara Virginia Bolin Davis and wife of the late Levi Barrow.
She was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ and a homemaker. Martha enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting and most of all spending time with family.
Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Barrow; one grandson, Larry Ward; son-in-law, Ronald Tines; two brothers, J. W. and Billy Davis; and four sisters, Ruby Medlin, Maggie Currey, Catherine Baird, and Eunice Brown.
Martha is survived by two daughters, Faye Tines, of Morgantown, and Stella Barrow, of Morgantown; one son, William Barrow and wife, Cynthia, of Morgantown; two grandsons, Scottie Ward and wife, Jamie, of Morgantown, and Jonathan Tines and wife, April, of Tampa, Florida; four granddaughters, Deanna Jenkins and husband, Chelcey, of Morgantown, Wendy Swift and husband, Kenny, of Morgantown, Kayla Fulton and husband, Bryan, of Morgantown, and Kate Barrow, of Seattle, Washington; 12 great-grandchildren, Kasey Ray and husband, Bret, of Owensboro, Levi Gage and Jacie Ward, of Morgantown, Heidi Barks and husband, Jacob, of Morgantown, Katlyn Morgan, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Ian Tines, of Tampa; Trevor and Kelsey Jenkins, of Morgantown, Alyssa and Jonah Swift, of Morgantown, Elijah Barrow and Cooper Fulton, of Morgantown; one great-great-grandchild, Ila Mae Barks, of Morgantown; one sister, Rebecca Evans, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and two brothers, Richard Davis, of Pennsylvania, and Charles Davis, of Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday Dec. 13, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Larry Orange officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Church of Christ Cemetery where Scottie Ward, Chelcey Jenkins, Kenny Swift, Trevor Jenkins, Gage Ward and Bryan Fulton will serve as pall bears. Visitation will be held on Wednesday Dec. 12, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday 8 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
